“I knew the whole cost the day I signed. The examiner never called me once after that; everything went through Thea.”
Raleigh tax lawyers, meeting by video
Your IRS audit, handled start to finish
One price per tax year, agreed in writing before we start. Not in it: the tax, penalties or interest the IRS says you owe, or a Tax Court case if it gets that far.
- Every IRS letter and call
- Your document list, prepared
- A written closing review

Fees
What sets the fee for an IRS letter
Quoted per matter, in writing, after a 20-minute call that costs nothing.
A notice review
We read the letter, pull your IRS transcripts and tell you in writing what it means and what to send back. One fee per notice, paid up front.
IRS transcripts for up to three years
A written answer within five business days
One video meeting
Audit defense
We become your representative, so the examiner deals with us and not with you. Each tax year is its own fee, and a field audit of a business is quoted separately.
Power of attorney filed with the IRS
Every letter, call and meeting with the examiner
Your document list, gathered and organized
A written review of the result
A tax debt plan
A payment plan or a penalty relief request, built from your real budget and seen through until the IRS answers. An offer in compromise is quoted on its own.
A full review of what you owe and earn
The request, prepared and filed
Follow-up until the IRS decides
Never part of our fee: the tax, penalties and interest the IRS says you owe, and the IRS's own user fees. A Tax Court case is quoted on its own.

Clients
What a fixed fee felt like
“Our payroll notice looked like the end of the shop. Pradeep laid out a plan we could actually pay, and the levy letters stopped.”
“Three video calls from my kitchen table, and Mom's estate return was filed with nothing left hanging.”
Sample comments for the owner to replace. Every client's tax matter is different, and a past result doesn't promise the same one in yours.
Questions
Asked before the first call
Is the fee really flat?
Yes. We quote one price for the service and the tax year, put it in the engagement letter, and that's the bill. If the IRS widens the audit to another year, we quote that year before doing any work on it.
What isn't included?
The tax, penalties and interest the IRS says you owe, the IRS's own user fees, and a case in Tax Court. Each service page lists its exclusions next to what the fee covers.
Do we ever meet in person?
You don't have to. Meetings are by video, documents go through a secure upload, and signatures are electronic. If you'd rather sit across a desk, the Raleigh office is open by appointment.
Will you prepare my tax return?
We don't prepare yearly returns. We fix problems with returns already filed, and we can point you to a preparer for next year.
How fast can you start?
Usually within a few business days of the signed engagement letter. If the IRS has set a deadline, tell us on the first call so we can say plainly whether we can meet it.
